Renaming & Logo
After giving out surveys to students on campus we discovered that many thought the Outdoor Education Center to be an educational department on campus. So we decided to rename and make the associations clear between Campus Recreation and the outdoor events offered.
The logo assists in this process by highlighting some of the activities one can participate in while also remaining clean and simple. The logo is flexible because it can be used altogether or with just the wordmark and it looks great in black, white, or any of our primary colors (as seen in the style guide). Style Guide
We chose these new colors after being inspired by vintage national park travel posters. These colors remind you of nature while still offering fun, colorful accents. The vintage tones in them give you a sense of reflection, because when you go into nature it is often to escape and is like going back in time.
