Carolina Outdoor Recreation Trail Challenge

A 1.5 mile obstacle course challenge that will occur around the time of graduation in order to target graduates and their families in town. The course will utilize existing resources to increase sales and promote COR outreach.
The Course
Runners will start and end at the tennis courts, using the disc golf holes to navigate their way throughout. The rest of the course is up to your budget and creativity! Here is a link for pictures of the suggested course and ideas for the course elements.
Here are some suggestions of obstacles to make it extra fun:
-Tall wood wall
-Tires
-Mud pit
-Over-under beams
-Hay bales
Sign-Ups
Participants should be able to sign-up through the COR website. Runners can pre-register as a team or individual, with a discount for those who sign up to run in teams of 5 or more.
$45.00 per individual
$40.00 per individual for teams of 5+
Same-day registration: $50.00 per individual
Logistics
-Place signage and event staff along the course to make sure runners are on track and to assist in case of an emergency
-Talk to adjacent church to see about using their lot for additional parking (perhaps offer some amount of proceeds for use of charity of their choice)
-Offer water and snacks at the finish
-Provide a way for runners to rinse off after the race
Entertainment & Food
-Live music from UNC School of Music Students Atticus Reynolds and J Rowdy.
-Have food trucks set up for individuals there to cheer on friends and loved ones.
Social Media and Snapchat
There are social media graphics made for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram advertising. In addition there is a graphic for the Facebook Event page. Using the main graphic we have created a snapchat geotag that will be used the day of the run. The snapchat filter is already saved in the correct format however further submission guidelines can be viewed here.
